I'm Chris. I build apps I'd actually want to use.

Herding Labs is a one-person studio. No investors, no board, no product committee. Just me figuring out what's missing from my phone and then building it.

The name comes from my last name, Shepard. Shepherds herd things into place, and that idea carries into the work I do. Herding Labs is about taking scattered ideas and guiding them into focused, useful applications. In a lot of ways, that is the job.

I care about craft. Clean design, honest pricing, and software that respects your time. If I ship something, it's because I would pay for it myself.

Based in Northern California.
